Kibbutz Elot (sometimes Eilot) is situated about 4 miles north of Eilat, near to route 90, the Arava highway.

Elot is a Dairy producing farm. Also, Elot grows many plants, including vegetables and date palms. Also, tourism plays a very big part in the fortunes of this Kibbutz, and a factory producing computer parts.

Elot has around 80 members, and a usual population of about 250 volunteers.

Fact

Elot was a filming location for "Not Quite Jerusalem". I think the start and end shots of the kibbutz from the air were filmed.

    I lived in Elot during 73/74 ,working at the factory cutting "siccors' Jehuda was my mentor,i remember Rachel from the shop.

    The Nachal groups,Yom kippur war.

    The best breakfest ever,(even till today),sabbath eve at the diningroom,and loud classical music saterdaymorrning.

    Nurse Nurit,Danny.Emil the playboy,the scotsman mending the cows,to name a few.

    Those where the days,19 years young and naive.
