kibbutz grofit

Kibbutz Grofit is situated about 30 miles (50 kilometers) north of Eilat in the Southern Arava area - it is very close to Yotvata Kibbutz. Grofit was created around 1966 and as of 2006 has around 100 members and another 100 or so volunteers.

Grofit relies on a plastic factory for it's income. As well, of course, tourism.

Interesting Facts

Part of the movie "Not Quite Jerusalem" was filmed at this Kibbutz. Though I am not sure, it looks like that the Chicken Sheds, Cow Shed and Swimming Pool scenes are filmed here.
